Cotton fibres are flat, thick walled and ribbon like with convolutions. Cotton fibres are seed hairs from plants of the family Malvaceae.It is the most important natural textile fibre as well as cellulosic textile fibre. Cotton fibres are trichomes or seed coat hairs that differentiate from epidermal cells of the cotton seed.
