Ankita Sahoo,
EKYA SCHOOL ITPL The mosquito’s mouth is also called a proboscis. It is a sophisticated system of six thin, needle like mouthparts that scientists call stylets. Each of which pierces the skin, finds blood vessels and makes it easy for Mosquito to suck blood.
Female mosquitoes are able to take blood from you thanks to a long, needle-like tube called a proboscis. The proboscis contains six individual needles (covered by a protective sheath). Also, there’s a needle that injects you with saliva and blood-flow stimulating chemicals, causing you to have an itchy allergic reaction.
