Mr.Binay Deboroy, Agri sector officer State Govt of Tripura , informed Dr.DP Awasthi Principal investigator and Asst Prof of CAT that farmers of Shekarkota village of dukli sector West Tripura are facing problem for crop death of Bringel , bitter guard, tomato and cabbage due to some unknown diseases. So Dr DP Awasthi of CAT and Mr. VB Patil both foldscope Principal investigators rushed to site along with Mr.Binay Agri sector Officer on 14.11.2018

Foldscope images detected that micro insect under the leaves of bringal , bitter guard and tomato is harming the crop. This insect is not visible by nacked eyes and farmed were not aware of such insect. The farmers are also given opportunity to hands on foldscope and to see the micro demon harming their crops

Dr DP Awasthi suggested suitable antibacterial medicine and also taken all the samples for further detailed study at CAT with further promise to provide more information and hands on sessions using foldscope at their farms.
