Woolen threads are used for knitting or crocheting .It is a natural fibre obtained from animals and is used for sweaters ,shawls, jackets etc as it traps heat and keeps our body warm. Students had different colours of woolen threads for Maths activity and the same was used to observe under the foldscope to know their structures .The woolen threads splits up into thin strands which were round ,cylindrical and irregular .Students enjoyed observing the different colours of woolen threads under the foldscope.
