day 3 lgp 26 sunflower hair - the tape and tap method - microplastics make me sad

Today we observed some sunflower hair uner a microscope. we first noticed the hair when we first picked up the sunflower to get pollen. our teacher told us to stdy it as well. we used the tape and tap method to get some hair on the slide and we observed it under microscope. It was a very fun observation.
we first scanned the field for some fibrous strands and i eventually found this strand. the hair is actually the transparent white part while the coloured blue part is actually a microplastic. the hair was very interesting to watch and i had a lot of fun watching it.it was transparent and hair-like
though the observation enchanted me, what i did not like was the presence of microplastic. It mad eme sad and disappointed that we humans had polluted the environment so much that even when i was doing microscopic observation, i saw the dissapointment we had brought upon nature. i would not be surprised if in the near future microplastics are a major cause of desease. but i believe it would serve us right for not bearing the responsibility of the planet as the top predator in the food chain and our discriminate destruction of nature. i wish to spread this message, ""SAY NOT TO PLASTIC"".
