 This is an magnified image of a green organism. It was next to a large piece of algae, so it might be algae.
 
 The sample was acquired last Wednesday, from Baxter Pond.
 
 It was obtained by the recitation section TAs, who took some water from the pond.
 
 From the Foldscope website, they have 140x magnification. This organism was large enough to appear on the slide as a dark speck, about half a millimeter long.

 This is an image of grains of pollen, which appear as small light brown and dark brown dots.
 
 
 This sample of pollen was obtained on May 8, 2019 at 3pm, from the bush of purple flowers north of the Guggenheim building on Caltech campus. (Pasadena, CA)
 
 
 This sample was obtained by picking a flower with a visible amount of pollen on its pistil. The pollen was collected in a drop of water on the end of a stick, and mounted on a glass slide.

 The flower itself appears to be Serbian bellflower (
 
 Campanula poscharskyana
 
 ), and since it is surrounded by other Serbian bellflowers, I guess this pollen is from Serbian bellflower.

 This is a brown fleck of dirt from the pond south of the Beckman Behavioral Biology building at Caltech in Pasadena, CA. It was obtained on May 31, 2019 at 5pm. This was taken from one of the many clusters of dirt in the pond, by taking a spoonful of the water and eyedropping it onto a foldscope slide.

 This is the root of one of my hairs. It fell out on May 31, 2019, or the day before. The dark pigmented area within the follicle is visible, and the other parts of the follicle can be identified as well.

 This shows the fine grains of garnet sand and metal dust generated by the waterjet process clumping together in a semi-organized crystalline structure. The sample was obtained on 5/21/2019 at 5pm by taking a spoonful of the muddy water, and eyedropping it onto a foldscope slide.

 was left in my foldscope for the past few weeks, and changed interestingly in that time. Previously, the pollen appeared to be a fine dust of very small particles, but now, it appeared to be bright orange and visibly grainy. The pollen also appears to have become spiky in texture.

 This is the magnified view of a piece of dirt that was under my fingernail. The dirt is likely a mixture of dead skin cells, since my fingertips were peeling, and machining oil and grime from the machine shop. There is an interesting blue thing, and some odd brown flecks of dirt suspended in the oily grey mass. It was taken from my fingernail on 5/31/2019.
