June marked an exciting milestone for The Foldscope Ghana Initiative as we took our outreach beyond Kumasi for the first time, bringing our hands-on STEM experience to Grace Academy School in Spintex–Baatsona, Accra.
Together with both teachers and junior high school students, we explored the world of STEM, introduced exciting career pathways, and demonstrated how simple innovations like the Foldscope can transform the way science is learned.
As always, the highlight wasn't the microscope—it was the curiosity it ignited. The excitement, thoughtful questions, and smiles at the end of the session reminded us why this mission matters. This outreach was the first stop in our June outreach campaign, a month dedicated to reaching more schools and inspiring more young minds than ever before.
As we continue expanding across Ghana, our vision remains unchanged: to make hands-on science accessible, inspire curiosity, and empower the next generation of scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.
This is only the beginning!
