📢 On September 18th, 2026, over 300 junior high school students in Alajo are getting something most of them have never had.
I'm excited to announce the second edition of the Empowered for Transformation Seminar. A day of leadership and personal development training, health and hygiene education, and a hands-on STEM breakout session — where students will be exposed to the #Foldscope 2.0, a working microscope made entirely of paper, developed by the Manu Prakash Lab at Stanford University.
This builds on our first seminar, which reached 260 students last year. This time, we're going bigger: 8 schools, 300+ students, and a renewed focus on getting more girls into STEM.
This year's seminar is a collaboration between Hit theBooks Campaign and Education Hub Ghana, alongside a growing circle of partners who believe, like we do, that where a student starts shouldn't determine where they can go.
