This sample was obtained on May 31st at approximately 7:00pm in Chandler Cafe at the California Institute of Technology. The sample is of seaweed on the outside of a salmon roll. It was obtained by taking the seaweed off the roll with my hands and placed onto a slide. We can see the uneven black pigment of the black seaweed in the photo, as well as the moisture (water droplets) from the rice which was touching the seaweed.
