The sample was found at about noon on Sunday May 26th in San Diego, California. The sample is a sub section of a fly wing. It was obtained by simply placing the wing of the dead fly on the slide. The dots in the photograph are representative of the fine hairs which are on the outside of the fly wing. The brown lines are the veins which give the fly wing its structure and ability to fly.
