Milk cream left out in open inadvertently during rainy season showed a moldy growth. When seen under a foldscope, a network of aseptate hyphae could be figured. Some sporangiophores bearing sporangia were seen. Trying to go for its identification it was a black mold with white cottony hyphae. The sporangiophores were spherical in shape and in some columella was visible. Either filled or empty sporangia were seen. Another unique thing seen was spores released in a sac-like thing as whole. No stolons were visible. Branching in hyphae was also seen. So now whether it is Rhizopus or Mucor or Absidia —–I am not clear.
