We at CMR PU college ITPL Bangalore had a foldscope assembling and hands-on session today. Students from I and II PU (grades 11 and 12) were a part of this session. Our already existing foldscope team students led this session and guided their fellow college mates in assembling foldscopes. Students made slides and observed various samples of spice powders, plant parts, soil samples etc using the foldscopes they assembled. They had a great experience and were fascinated to see the crystal structures under foldscope as it involves very simple technique and images were of high quality and clarity.
