Question:
What will a bee’s wing look like under a Foldscope?
Hypothesis:
A bee’s wing will look like a housefly wing.
Materials:
Tweezers, slide, clear fingernail polish, coverslip, Foldscope
Steps:
The bee was caught on the school campus. Tweezers were used to remove the bee’s wing. The wing was placed on a slide and covered with a cover slip. A thin layer of clear fingernail polish was painted on the edges of the slide and left to dry. The slide was placed under the foldscope (using a camera phone) and observed.
Conclusion:
The bee’s wing had many features that were viewed with the Foldscope.
