Question:
What will the toad’s heart and liver cells look like?
Hypothesis:
We think the toad’s heart would look thick and moist and that the liver will look red and moist.
Materials:
Foldscope, knife, tweezers, slide, tape, scissors, gloves, safety glasses, clear nail polish, pipette
Steps:
The heart and liver were removed from the toad and thin samples were cut with a knife. The samples were placed on the slide using tweezers and a pipette and covered with tape. The slide was placed on the Foldscope and the specimen was studied using a phone camera.
Conclusion:
The heart and the liver looked very different from each other under the Foldscope.
