விடுமுறையில் எனது முன்னாள் மாணவர்களுடன் ஒரு சுற்றுலா பயணமாக மதுரையை அடுத்த மேகமலைக்குச் சென்றோம். சென்றவழியில் தேயிலைத்தோட்ட தொழிலாளர்களை சந்திக்க வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. அவர்களுடன் உரையாடிக் கொண்டே அங்கே இருந்த மலர்களின் மகரந்தங்களை காட்டினோம். மகிழ்ந்து போனார்கள். இவ்வளவு சின்னதா மைக்ராஸ்கோப் என்று கேட்டனர். பின்னர் அதற்கு விளக்கம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.
