My study site is an evergreen forest with rich vegetation of floras and faunas. It is located in the Western Ghats of Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. Geographically, the entire area of Manar village is lies between 11°29’- 11°48’N latitude and 70°50’- 77°27’E longitude. The knowledge of ethno history of the Irulas tribal group is very essential for a good ethnobotanical fieldwork. Totally six villages are occurred in my study area. Among the total of six villages, I have explore the invention of foldscope to Veerakkal village people. The most of the people in Veerakkal village are uneducated, so they have wondered to see and handle the foldscope with eagerness. The total number of people were 42 containing 14 families in that 21 males followed by female 21. Their major income is generated from minor products like honey, vegetables, fruits and also sale in the local market and tribal co-operative societies. They planted many fruit trees like mango, banana and jack fruit around their houses. I hope that foldscope will surely helpful and motivational tool to them that brings educational awareness for tribal youngsters.
