The next flower to bloom in the garden was from my chamomile plants. I'm very much looking forward to some chamomile tea this year!
The flowers themselves are very small and delicate looking. The pollen from chamomile is so small that I had to use 340X magnification plus 5X digital zoom on my phone to really see details on the individual grains. I couldn't get a good image with reflective lighting for this sample, but I did use brightfield, darkfield, and a lightbox. You can see that the surface is covered with spikey/spiney structures. I guess the better to stick to the hairy legs of the bees that come to visit!
