Exploring the Microcosm – Onion Sample Today I created an onion sample (by taking a very thing peel of it) myself and viewed it under a foldscope. Seeing something I eat almost every day in such detail seriously took me by surprise. Observations: The cells were arranged in neat rectangular patterns. Clear cell walls separated each individual cell. Some bubble-like structures were visible in the sample. The entire slide looked really organized and structured. It’s amazing how much detail exists in ordinary things around us without us ever realizing it.
