Sunflower pollen was the sample for today. I was curious about this one since sunflowers are so bright and bold — would the pollen look the same up close?
Observations:
At 140x, tiny bright yellow spherical grains were scattered across the slide alongside some transparent shard-like structures — almost like broken glass mixed with gold dust. At 340x, the entire view exploded into a dense sea of yellow and green — thousands of tiny granules packed together, almost like a mosaic made of light. I genuinely was not ready for how colorful it looked at 340x. That image alone made the whole session worth it.

Samples:

The pollens were way too small to be observed at 50X so I directly moved to 140X.
