Flower #2 from my Mother's Day Bouquet was the purple Canterbury Bell.
The large flowers were easy to handle and provided easy access to a lot of pollen. Of course, I looked at the pollen under different levels of magnification and lighting conditions. The first set of pictures were taken using the 140X lens plus 5X digital zoom on my phone. I used a lightbox, and the LED light for brightfield and darkfield lighting.
Then I increased the magnification to 340X plus 5X digital zoom on my phone. For lighting, I used a lightbox and reflective lighting with the 2.0 LED light module.
This flower had an ovary that was easy to access and using the 50X lens, I was able to see the ovules inside it!
The final thing I looked at were the plant cells on the flower petal at 140X magnification plus 5X digital zoom on my phone.
