Next up from my garden, flowers from the winter savory plant.
These are tiny flowers, but, the pollen was pretty easy to get to with precision tweezers and tape.
These images were captured using a Foldscope 2.0 with the 140X magnification lens (plus 5X digital zoom with my phone). Brighfield captured the texture of the surface of the pollen grains really well.
Then I switched to reflective lighting and the grains seemed to glow! Even the bubbles within the tape (at the bottom of the first image) look interesting with reflective lighting!
