As our second experiment, we looked at the transparent peel of an onion under the foldscope, at 50x, 140x and 340x. We could see brick like cells arranged tightly in rows. The more we increased the magnification, the clearly we could see the cells. It was a challenge to prepare the sample properly, and to tape it to the glass slide in an effective way. It was a really interesting experiment, and I really enjoyed myself.
