These flowers caught my eye in my driveway this morning, so you know what I did, right? Of course, I took a look at the pollen under my Foldscope!
I love the intricate pattern on the surface of the grains. The pattern was really evident under reflective lighting at 340X magnification plus 5X digital zoom on my phone.
Of course, the aesthetic beauty of the pollen grains with 140X magnification (plus 5X digital zoom on my phone) under reflective lighting always gets me!
It was hard to get clear detail with brightfield and darkfield lighting, but I still enjoyed looking at the glittery surface using the 340X magnification (plus 5X digital zoom on my phone).
