Indo-US DBT Foldscope project was sanctioned to Barkatullah University, Bhopal where research work on Narmada River was carried out along with several workshops were conducted for school, college, university students of Madhya Pradesh and Northeast India. Also, various online sessions were conducted for Indian colleges and universities. The Principal Investigator of the project is Prof. Anil Prakash along with Co-Principal Investigator Prof. Vipin Vyas and Research Fellow Dr. Parul Gurjar

A day workshop on Foldscope and it's applications was conducted by Dr. Anita Tilwari from Nidan & Shefwell society and Dr. Parul Gurjar on 4 February 2023 at MLB Girls College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India where UG and PG students from Department of Botany participated in the workshop. The workshop was focused on providing microbial knowledge to students by using this paper microscope called Foldscope. Slides of muscle, algae, fungus etc. were observed by the students.
