Indo-US DBT Foldscope project was sanctioned to Barkatullah University, Bhopal where research work on Narmada River was carried out along with several workshops were conducted for school, college, university students of Madhya Pradesh and Northeast India. Also, various online sessions were conducted for Indian colleges and universities. The Principal Investigator of the project is Prof. Anil Prakash along with Co-Principal Investigator Prof. Vipin Vyas and Research Fellow Dr. Parul Gurjar

Collection and identification of aquatic microorganisms have been conducted in KC Nayar Pond in Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Students of M.F.Sc. and M.Sc. Zoology have participated in this two days hands-on workshop on Foldscope.
On the second day:-Students have given demonstration and hands-on on Foldscope and they identified the organisms.
