A foldscope orientation programme was conducted by CEE North East at Guwahati Refinery High School. Students and science teachers of standard IX attended the programme.


 At first, students were introduced to principles of microscopy. They then assembled the foldscope for their school.

 They were then taught to make temporary slides of specimens. The enthusiastic students studied flower pollen, leaves under the foldscope.


 After they learnt making slides, water from the wetland Deepor Beel was studied.
