Dakshin Kalikata Sevasram is situated at Sarat Bose Lane, Kolkata, West Bengal. It is a home for boys belonging to the impoverished background. It was established in 1924 by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
A one-day exhibition on, “Magnify Your Curiosity Explore the Microcosmos” was organised jointly by Department Of Environmental Science, University of Calcutta and School of Environmental Studies, Jadavpur University at Dakshin Kalikata Sevasram, Kolkata West Bengal on 11th March 2019.

The Foldscope team demonstrated how to use the paper microscope and it was followed by a demonstration of algae, fungi, onion cell, paramecium , amoeba , pollen grains, kidney section, heart muscle, etc.
