As a routine I cook green leafy vegetables twice a week, this time we picked up these greens from Talegaon
(10 May 2025) on a day trip celebrating mothers day. As always I never refrigerate the greens I sort them and then process them or cook them, just while I was at this I discovered something pink, that wriggled and showed some movement at one end. The foldscoper in me took over I mounted this pink entity on a slide and made observations in sunlight.
While it appeared motile while trapped under a cellotape what amazed me was that it never gave up and even for 12 hours it was in the same level of activity. I did not have a heart to smash it and make observations but thats where the Foldscope is different form all other microscopes.
We had suggestions from the Foldscope Mumbai team that it could be one of these but it didnt look anything close, whats your take on this do message.
Using all my media talent to put this together a film which shows the exploration of a Foldscope when she is wfh mode, n yes the exploration continues.
The look of the appendages post a few hours, still sharp and in form.
A closer look at the antenna in motion looks as if made up of many small cells connected like a toy, still wondering what this is.
Exploration continues as it will be the turn of the rice after the greens have been sorted, watch out here we come..........
