Date-10th April 2025 Time-Afternoon session
Host-Agastya International Foundation Venue-Talewad, Vijayapura The next stop on this trip was SBNN High School, Taleswad (Vijaypura) with 40 students, who barely spoke English but we managed well. The kids were from grade 5 onwards and we began with causes of fever, the genie called immunity in our body we must trust. After this came the management of fever in our routine life. The children suggested the need for an age & dose appropriateness of a drug. Thus getting them closer to take responsibility for managing their health and those of their loved ones.
We began with the exploration of the simple onion cells and the eureka moments came close to the window with sunlight, they were able to differentiate between the view in natural and artificial light. This was a wow moment for the trainer and team.
The clarity of the view in the onion samples gave the children an idea of the organisation of cells, their arrangements and more questions. Our co-trainers from Agastrya helped in translating their questions and sharing the answers with them. The ease of taking pics, enlarging them and the view of the nucleus without staining was exciting for them and they were so engaged they barely got any time to talk n play.

Thanks is due to the entire team at Agastya Foundation, VIjayapura, Karnataka.
