Thanks to team Himalayan Volunteer Tourism Foundation HVTF Mahima Mehra for this journey to reach out to stakeholders #zanskar valley we distributed more than 3000 HOPE jackets among the schools here.
The school set in the backdrop of a now dried river bed houses children from kindergarten to grade 10.
The children were excited about the frugal science session where we used the #Foldscope to raise awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and set together to #knowurfoe before we taking medication.
We began our workshops at Lamdon Model School in Padum, Zanskar (Ladakh) where the experts addressed different batches in a well set time bound manner.
Observation of cells onion, potato and more got the students curious and each one of them wanted to say and describe what they viewed in the microscopic field.
We had lunch at this school and then set off to our next destination where another batch was waiting for us.
Even our driver started making observations helping in to guide the students to focus the slides.
Indebted to Dr. Kunzes Doma a geothermal expert who stood there with us like a guiding light throughout our travel, sharing her valuable insights.
