Training and Awareness Program for Lodha Genius Program 26

Thanks is due to to my collaborator and DBT Foldscope fellow Dr. Karuna she facilitated the session on Foldscope for educators as a part of the Fungal Disease Awareness Week 15 to 19 September 2025.
The cohort was a group of educators whom we would like to thank they came in with just 1 email and enjoyed the session thoroughly.
We spoke about how important it was to #knowurfoe before you take medicines and explored cells using the paper folding microscope that each of these educators took back to their school.
The educators enjoyed the wow moments and shared their grow points while using the tool.
The learnt how to manage the observations and couple the camera to their foldscope and loved the ease of use of the tool.
WE also saw the participation of Medical graduates who were studying at AIIMS come and explore using the tool.
The educators experimented with light sources, light intensity, sample thickness as if small children were going through the process.
The ease of using the tool trully helped them knit together their learnings and take home the enthusiasm of showing it to their school kids.
The session was addressed by Mr. Stayam A. form the Lodha Education Foundation who shared important details about the Lodha Genius Program 26. The schedule, the eligibility, mode of application, take homes of the program. The program was facilitated with the help of Ms. Shweta Dubey from the foundation, who managed the registration and other important tasks for the workshop.
WE could also knit other members from the community to the use of the Foldscope the security at the guest house and the Guest house manager too.
Thanks Anupama Ambika AnilkumarPrasenjeet Patil for this wonderful initiative of reaching out to school educators to raise awareness about the LGP, a 4 week residential mentoring program hosted at Ashoka University .
