This was the last stop for our Zanskar trip that the foundation members take to share their knowledge and empower communities, to make real world connects.
The reception was ceremonial and we had so many workshops running simultaneously. The group of senior students, junior students, teachers, parents and more. 1. Engagement with teachers 2. Career guidance 3. Youth Awareness (substance abuse) 4. STEM outreach (Foldscope workshop) 5. Inclusive education 6. Story telling 7. Know your Y 8. Building tools 9. Physical fitness and mindfulness 10. Computer training
The STEM workshop focused on AMR Awareness and we used the foldscope as a tool to make our observations and hashtag #knowurfoe The kids had no bounds to their joy as they made their observations and drawing a parallel to how potato and onion cells are different and hence bacteria causing different infections also differ. They asked relevant questions and we all danced together to chipti chipti the song which became our group anthem for this trip. The school was happy to receive Foldscopes to help build a community, together we can.
